Frasers unveils new luxury strategy

Frasers Group has formally launched Frasers Group Luxury, a consolidated luxury retail and brand investment ecosystem spanning the UK and the United States, positioning the group for broader international expansion.

The move formalises a strategic evolution that began over a decade ago. Frasers Group has scaled its high-end division into a profitable £1+bn operation encompassing more than 100 physical stores across Britain and North America.

The division brings together three core retail banners alongside key equity stakes in high-fashion houses:

Flannels:  Acquired in 2017, the chain now operates over 80 regional and flagship UK stores catering to the contemporary “New Luxury” consumer.

The Webster: The US luxury boutique chain, acquired in 2025, providing Frasers with an established footprint in high-profile American markets including New York, South Beach, and Bal Harbour.

Harvey Nichols: The nearly 200-year-old British heritage department store, which joined the group in 2026.

Strategic Brand Stakes:  Broad investment holdings including equity interests in Burberry, Hugo Boss, and Mulberry.

US estate investments and digital growth

Marking the one-year anniversary of its acquisition, The Webster is undergoing significant estate investments. Founder Laure Heriard Dubreuil confirmed plans to unveil an expanded location at Bal Harbour Shops West this November, alongside an upcoming renovation of its original flagship on Collins Avenue in South Beach ahead of its 20th anniversary. The US banner has also revamped its e-commerce platform and expanded its in-store David Mallett salon footprint at its SoHo, New York location.

Frasers Group Chief Executive Michael Murray noted that the formal division reflects the scale required to negotiate directly with global fashion houses:

“Luxury has been a core pillar of Frasers Group for more than a decade, starting with Flannels and growing into a profitable £1b+ luxury ecosystem in just 10 years. With over 100 stores across the UK and US, we’ve built the expertise, scale, and brand relationships to support our next phase of growth. Our ambition is clear: to continue scaling Frasers Group Luxury globally through organic expansion, acquisitions, and strategic investments.”

Brand backing from key fashion houses

The restructuring drew public backing from major wholesale partners. Burberry Chief Executive Joshua Schulman emphasized the commercial role played by the group’s physical footprint:

“We value Flannels as a long-standing wholesale partner. Their teams have a deep understanding of their customers, and their store network helps us reach Burberry customers across the UK, particularly in areas where we do not have directly operated stores. They bring the energy of a fashion capital to key regional cities.”

Alexis Mourot, Chief Executive of Christian Louboutin – which launched its first worldwide shop-in-shop at Harvey Nichols in 2007 – similarly welcomed the integration, pointing to a relationship built on long-term distribution and retail presence.

The group will debut the unified division to international fashion executives, designers, and industry media at an event during Paris Fashion Week.
