Amazon has extended its ultra-fast delivery service to Manchester, following its initial launch in London last year.
Amazon Now allows customers to choose from thousands of groceries and household essentials for delivery in roughly 30 minutes or less.
John Boumphrey, UK Country Manager at Amazon, said: “Amazon Now brings a new level of speed and convenience to customers, delivering thousands of groceries and household essentials in less than 30 minutes.
“It’s the latest example of our commitment to faster delivery, building on the millions of items we already deliver the same or next day to customers across the UK.”
The service operates seven days a week across selected postcodes in Central and East Manchester via the Amazon website or app. Spanning 35 categories, the offering includes everyday essentials such as milk, eggs, fresh fruit and vegetables, toothpaste, pet treats, nappies, and medicines.
Amazon Now delivery charges start at £1.99 per order for Prime members and £3.99 for non-Prime members, with free delivery on orders over £20. A £2 small-order fee applies to purchases under £15, regardless of membership status.
The expansion forms part of Amazon’s broader commitment to invest £40bn in the UK between 2025 and 2027.
