Victoria’s Secret to close Birmingham flagship

Victoria’s Secret has announced its flagship store in the Bullring will close for good after a nine-year stay.

A notice in the stores window said it would be ‘closing soon’ but did not specify a date. Customers were informed they could still visit Victoria’s Secret in Milton Keynes – a mere 71 miles away, or an 80-minute drive.

Victoria’s Secret opened at the Bullring’s Upper Mall West in December 2014.

After its UK arm collapsed into administration, Next signed a joint venture deal with the business back in 2020, saving 500 jobs. Next now operates all of the firm’s stores in the UK and Ireland.

Back in December, Victoria’s Secret said it would open a new store on Oxford Street as it prepared to shutter its New Bond Street location which has been open since 2012.
