The Perfume Shop Valentine’s sales approach a quarter of a million bottles

The Perfume Shop sales rocket in the lead up to Valentine’s Day, with sales up by 34% across both classic and new perfumes and gift set sales up 50% up over last year, with 240,000 bottles of perfume sold between the 1st and 14th of Feb.

The Perfume Shop’s website saw its busiest day on February 12, with a 7% increase in perfume purchases.

Its personalised services also saw a rise in demand, with over 39,655 ribbons and 983 engraved perfumes delivered to customers, up 2% increase on 2024 figures.

The Perfume Shop trading director Andrea Rickard said: “Perfume is more than a gift; it’s an expression of love, thoughtfulness, and care. We knew that this Valentine’s Day, customers were looking for that extra special something.

“Whether they were exploring something new or enhancing their partner’s fragrance wardrobe, The Perfume Shop had everything they needed to create an unforgettable Valentine’s Day.

“It’s so great to see the continued success of both our personalised ribbons and engraving services, as we know these truly make the perfume gift even more special. Not just for Valentine’s Day, but all year round.”

Among the top-selling fragrances for women were Lancôme La Vie Est Belle, Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium, Prada Paradoxe, Euphoria, and Pascal Morabito. For men, the best sellers included Dior Sauvage, Hugo Boss Night, Bleu De Chanel, Burberry Touch For Men, and Joop! Homme.
