Lidl becomes first supermarket to launch on TikTok Shop

Lidl is the first UK supermarket to use TikTok shop to promote and sell its goods and take advantage of around a third of TikTok’s 1.69bn users who access TikTok Shop.

The campaign will start at 9am on the 20th Febr and will be launching with the supermarket’s new range of high protein products via the @LidlGB TikTok account with 3,000 exclusive Lidl GB High Protein Bundles, worth over £30, available to purchase for just £5.

Included alongside the range of high-protein products, the supermarket will also feature a bespoke Lidl-branded microfibre towel and a resistance band set.

As well as the protein products Lidl will be giving away Lidl Plus coupons as part of the bundle, offering shoppers 25% off its popular chilled high protein range in-store.

Joanna Gomer, Marketing Director of Lidl GB says: “With the number of TikTok shoppers growing rapidly, we’re proud to be the first supermarket meeting our customers directly on the platform with our unique offering, creating these exclusive bundles to showcase our new exciting products.”
